PAVLOS K. HASSANAGAS

Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist

Founder of Yoga Federation of Macedonia

Initiates and leads various activities which connect yoga with education, medicine, ecology, practical philosophy, psychology and culture of living.
The main characteristic of his teaching is assimilation of the spiritual into the everyday life, as well as a scientific interpretation and practical application of yoga in preventive and therapeutic purposes.
He nurtures a traditional way of teaching yoga as a spiritual philosophy, but also an adapted form comprehensive to everyone.
Translates and interprets old scriptures from the spiritual tradition of Eastern and Western cultures.

Started teaching yoga in Bucharest, Romania towards the end of the 1960s. Moved in Skopje, Macedonia in 1972 and was the first yoga teacher in Macedonia. Lived here for 15 years. During this period of ideological isolation, he made exceptional efforts and personal sacrifices for yoga to be vastly accepted and to become part of the culture of living. Since 1987 he has been living in Athens where he founded the Yoga Science Centre.

To popularize yoga in various forms, he directed his activity to several areas:
